Privacy Policy — StageHand
Last updated: July 8, 2026
Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to StageHand and this website (the "Service"), operated by BackStagePass Group. It covers the StageHand Discord bot and the StageHand dashboard and documentation hosted here.
Other BackStagePass Group products have separate policies: MultiMuse, BackDrop.
This Policy is part of our Terms of Service.
Information We Collect
Server configuration and content
Settings and content you configure through StageHand or the dashboard, including dice presets and sets, scene presets, index and forum settings, lore carousels, quest hooks, automation rules (IFTTT-style), reminders, tickets, checklists, form workflows, calendar data, reputation settings, MIA/hiatus records, and related metadata.
Message content (feature-dependent)
StageHand reads Discord message content only where a feature requires it, for example:
- Server logging — when enabled, deleted or edited message text may be posted to a mod log channel on Discord.
- MIA / activity tracking — message activity timestamps for members in scope of those modules.
- Submissions, reminders, sync, and admin tools — messages in configured channels or when you @mention the bot for supported commands.
Discord identifiers and member data
- Discord user, guild, channel, role, and message IDs.
- Member display names, nicknames, and avatars when needed for logging, MIA, reputation, or member-scoped features (Server Members intent).
Website and dashboard
- Discord OAuth data at login (
identify,guilds,guilds.members.readas shown). - Session cookies and technical logs.
How We Use Information
To operate StageHand features, authenticate dashboard users, enforce permissions, maintain security, and comply with law. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.
Sharing and Processors
- Discord — commands, events, and log channels.
- Hosting and database providers — storage and backups.
- MultiMuse API — when integrated for muse names, reputation, or dice preset sync (service-to-service only).
- Cloudflare — image and file hosting and delivery (R2 object storage and/or Cloudflare Images, including shared CDN domains such as
cdn.backstagepass.quest); CDN, WAF, and security services when traffic is proxied through Cloudflare. Where enabled on our media zones, Cloudflare's CSAM Scanning Tool compares cached image hashes against known abusive-material lists and may block matching URLs; we receive notifications as described in Cloudflare's documentation.
Retention and Deletion
Data is kept while the bot remains in your server and features are enabled, and as required by law. Contact us for account-level deletion requests.
Security, Children, and Rights
We apply reasonable safeguards to protect data. The Service is not directed at children under 13. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data—contact support@backstagepass.quest.
Changes and Contact
We may update this Policy; the date above will change. Questions: support@backstagepass.quest. See Terms of Service.
