StageHand 1.15.0
What's new
Roles (beta)
• Self-assign Roles module — New dashboard Roles section for color and normal self-assign lists, plus claim panels you post to Discord. Build lists, sync Discord roles, and post or refresh panels from the dashboard.
• Color roles — Solid, gradient, or holographic styles, with optional exclusivity (one at a time). Sync from the dashboard so Discord roles match what you configure.
• Normal role lists — Custom headers and subtitles, emoji on entries, and claim via select menus or buttons. Panels auto-split when they would exceed Discord’s 25-button limit.
Indexes & lore
• Indexes in the dashboard — Manage Forum, Group, and Layered indexes from one place. Create and edit entries, then refresh so Discord stays aligned with your forums.
• Lore panels first — The recommended setup is now: create carousel designs (pages) → build a lore panel and link those carousels as accessories → post with /lore panel. Members open carousels from the panel (privately). The Lore dashboard opens on Lore panels, with tabs ordered panels → carousels → snippets → selectors.
• Standalone carousel posts retired — /lore create and /lore post no longer post new in-channel carousel hosts; they point you to the panel workflow instead. Existing posted carousels still work (Admin menu, /lore restore, dashboard refresh).
• Lore selectors — Standalone selector button bars you can create, edit, and post from the dashboard — separate from lore panel button rows. Use them for hub messages that open carousels, jump to channels, or link scene / dice / mailbox posts. Optional images use file upload (hosted for you), not pasted URLs.
• Lore panel dice weights — Dice buttons on lore panels (button rows and text-block side buttons) can use the same weight presets as normal Dice: fair, bell curve, favor low/high, or custom per-face odds. Save the panel, then re-post or refresh it so Discord picks up the new distribution.
Tickers & calendar
• Custom ticker profiles — Optional webhook delivery so ticker lines can appear under a display name and avatar instead of the StageHand bot. StageHand creates the channel webhook for you (bot needs Manage Webhooks). Upload the avatar and banner; appearance settings live together (name, avatar, header, embed color, banner).
• Manage | Bulk edit — Edit ticker lines one-by-one (see next / last, Set as next, delete) or paste many lines at once (separated by ---).
• Server timezone — One master timezone under World Calendar. Tickers and MIA / hiatus use it, and the dashboard shows that timezone instead of a hard-coded Eastern label.
Games (Challenges Beta)
• Games category — Dice, Challenges, Reputation, and Quests live together in the dashboard under Games.
• Challenges for every server — Configure channels, messages, editable streak consequences, and approvals (off by default) from the dashboard. Post or refresh the Finish button without slash-only setup. Win/loss records stay per server so servers don’t share streaks.
• Easier Challenges deploy — Starter templates, copy settings from another server, and JSON export/import (settings only — not win/loss records; channel picks stay local). Optional finish / adjust role lists. Without character forums, players can still finish with free-text names or a muse picker when MultiMuse-linked cards exist.
• Linked muses overview — On Challenges and Reputation, expand Linked muses to see this server’s streaks or reputation tiers at a glance (collapsible so the editor stays on top).
Flows
• Scene closed — Trigger when a scene ends successfully. Pair with cleanup posts, roles, or ticker beats. Tokens like scene name, muse names, and thread link are available downstream.
• Close scene — Action that ends a scene from a flow (same outcome as /scene end). Don’t wire Scene closed → Close scene on the same flow or you can loop.
• Push next ticker line — Post the next line from a ticker feed immediately (optional feed id; blank = main).
• Challenge recorded / approved — Triggers when a dice challenge result is saved, or when staff approve a pending result. Winner / loser tokens available for follow-up posts.
Verification & forms
• Honeypot trap channel — pick a channel, list safe roles (usually full verified / staff), and StageHand posts decoy buttons there. Anyone without a safe role who messages, clicks, or reacts in that channel is banned. The captcha “role after verify” is not automatically safe — so intermediate roles like @Unverified still trip the trap if they interact. Save or Post / refresh honeypot bait posts the decoy message in Discord right away.
• Forms → tickets — On a form’s destination, optionally open a ticket on submission (pick a Tickets preset). The forum post still happens. Staff Approve or Reject with a required reason; that reason is DM’d to the submitter.
